The Walrus Wiki is the Wiki, running MediaWiki software and hosted on Joe's server, that connects #iamthewalrus and #iamthewalrus' actions to the public. The Walrus Wiki is provided as a way to help both walruses and pengfags know what the fuck is happening in #iamthewalrus. The Wiki catalogs our raids and fatwas, people affiliated with #iamthewalrus, recent events in pengfaggotry, and whatever else — all of course, in the name of lulz.
The Walrus Wiki, being only a couple months old, is still growing and developing everyday. If you've read our policies, are an active resident of the #iamthewalrus IRC room, and not a faggot, maybe you could get off your ass and help out around here, so start making some Goddamn edits. You should probably freshen up on your MediaWiki skills here, learn what's okay and what isn't, and learn a thing or two from some of our best articles before you start adding your contributions.
#iamthewalrus
#iamthewalrus is a so-called "hacking" group, known for fucking up idiots' lives and doesn't afraid of anything. While #iamthewalrus, or simply "The Walruses," uses hacking as a tactic for ruining someone's life, we actually consider ourselves an Internet vigilante group, ridding the Interbutts of pengfaggotry.
The number sign in the name of #iamthewalrus indicates that we are IRC centric. The #iamthewalrus channel is located on irc.dreggle.com. It is noted that some intelligence has to be put into joining an IRC channel, unlike other, more autism-friendly, chatting clients.
History
#iamthewalrus was made in August 2008, by two pretty cool guise named Joe and Plonk. The channel was made on irc.freenode.com. #iamthewalrus was not always a Club Penguin "hacking" group. The channel was first used as an “anything goes” group, and was advertised on the Penguin Client Library Forums, and Club Penguin HQ, which is why some of our members are centric on those forums.
By September of 2008, #iamthewalrus began doing "raids" on parties on the Miniclip Club Penguin Forums, via massive bot attacks using the PCL (program). After a few raids were done, we moved onto doing raids on actual Club Penguin fansites.
By the time we started doing raids on fansites, we weren’t known at all. MCCP didn’t even know we existed, the only thing they knew is that an alias of Joe, "Lamp Clip," was doing it.
In November 2008, Freenode staff dropped #iamthewalrus, and we were quickly harbored by Club Penguin HQ staff, and were now hosted on irc.clubpenguinhq.com. Later, we moved to irc.penguinclientlibrary.com, and finally, when the Dreggle Main Server was up, #iamthewalrus moved to its permanent home.
That’s the history of #iamthewalrus, that’s where we came from. Now, can you understand why we attack Club Penguin fansites - that’s where our roots are.
Culture
#iamthewalrus has grown since August 2008, to the point every pengfag around knows who we are. Some people are actually terrified of us, nothing we ever thought would happen. But now, if you even so much as mention "The Walruses" on a Club Penguin-oriented chat or blog, bricks are shat by all.
Some of you may be wondering what we do in the #iamthewalrus channel. It’s mostly a channel for what it was usually meant for: random, anything goes, no rules policy. When we’re bored, we piss people off for no reason whatsoever.
We’re all /b/tards. We’re all apart of Anonymous, the *chans, ect. What we’re trying to say is that we’re NOT a group of uber haxxor skriptkiddiotz, nor are we nine year old white kids that see themselves as "hackers" because they know HTML and how to script .bat files.
Incentives
Why do we do what we do? A little destruction is fun sometimes. Not September 11th type of destruction. Moar like burning ants with a magnifying glass on a sunny summer day with the ants being 13-year-old penguinfags. It’s harmless, and fun - well. at least for us.
We do not issue raids, or fatwas - ongoing raids - for no particular reason. The main reasons why we issue raids or fatwas are as follows.
- Stupidity - idiocy is one of the worst things in the eye of a walrus. Really, the stupidity of some of our enemies makes us laugh, and sometimes it makes us want to go out and destroy a few Internet lives.
- Internet tough guys - these are the people that act all big and strong on the Internets but are complete fags IRL. This was one of the main reasons for the fatwa on CPC, Xtreme22.
- Provocation - sometimes, there are faggots that actually think taking on #iamthewalrus will serve a purpose, so they eventually issue a challenge against us, which is the equivalent of OL suicide.
- Whoring - extracting everything you can out of something, whether it be money, as in the case of Jeremy Mlynarek of CPC, or popularity, as in the case of Mimo777.
- For teh lulz - because lulzcows need to be milked for butthurt time and again.
Misconceptions
Since the majority of the things you'll hear about #iamthewalrus come from the shitholes of 13-year-old boys, it's reasonable that many common misconceptions about #iamthewalrus and #iamthewalrus' actions would arise. Hopefully these will clear up some of those misconceptions.
#iamthewalrus is one person
False. #iamthewalrus is often misreferred to as "The Walrus," which gives people the idea that #iamthewalrus is just one person. #iamthewalrus is actually made up of many people from across the globe, but the only actual members are the ones that attend the IRC regularly; so just because some fucktard says they're affiliated with #iamthewalrus, doesn't mean they're really a walrus. It should also be noted that the founder of #iamthewalrus is not, in fact, a middle-aged pedophile that has nothing better to do than ruin kids' lives.
Reporting #iamthewalrus to the FBI serves a purpose
Marginally false. The majority of #iamthewalrus' actions are entirely legal, as demonstrated by the fact that there hasn't been a single walrus yet to be v& by the FBI. However, it is highly recommended that if you do report #iamthewalrus to the FBI or any other authoritative organization, you are at da beach. Read moar here.
#iamthewalrus hacks innocent kids
False. As mentioned above, all of #iamthewalrus' actions taken towards people have a legitimate reason. None of the penguinfags that #iamthewalrus attacks are entirely innocent. And on top of that, most of #iamthewalrus' actions are not hacking - most of the "hacking" consists of DDoS attacks, password cracking/phishing, and other social engineering methods.
#iamthewalrus supports Nazism, racism, etc.
Absolutely false. One word.
#iamthewalrus is your personal army
False. #iamthewalrus does not exist as your personal army to raid and hax0r that one kid that called you a bitch on xat and made you cry after you got b& for 6 hours. Your request will promptly be responded to with a nice, bold, all caps NO, GTFO.
#iamthewalrus has several websites
False. #iamthewalrus is only ran on iatw.info.
